Test Kitchen
They make it. They use it.
Our test kitchen is a full-featured Henrybuilt kitchen in our production facility in Seattle, designed to allow the staff to cook for each other and our clients.
Our test kitchen gives those who design, engineer and build the product the opportunity to more deeply understand the experience of using a Henrybuilt kitchen, and to work together to improve the system based on their experience.
It is part of leveraging the link between design, engineering, and the making of the product.
We cook for each other and our clients and we invite them to participate.
The product design team gets an honest, unfiltered view of their work. The day after this kitchen was installed, we realized we could increase usable counterspace by designing cutting boards that slid back and forth over the Gaggenau modular cook units. We designed and made them that night.
Now it's a product, best used with induction cooktops where there is no risk of heat damage or fire.
Occasionally, the kitchen becomes the shop! Luke is using the Gaggenau to bake acrylic components used in our drawer dividers to see if the expansion will allow magnets to press fit into pre-drilled holes...
