Old Math

Straight Talk from Henrybuilt
When it comes to pricing, Henrybuilt uses old math. This takes the risk of material and other cost fluctuations off your and your client’s plate.

It starts with scope-based pricing based on your design intent, communicating the cost of our scope at the time of decision-making, rather than after design when things outside of your control can change the math.

Once we are hired, the Henrybuilt product pricing level is shielded from increases in material and labor costs, as well as inflation costs resulting from delays in the project and other environmental factors, for 16 months. This provides a window of up to 12 months in design followed by 4 months for production and delivery.

Changes to the scope of the project during the 12-month design window will be offered at the original pricing level, even if price increases have occurred since then. On the flip side, decrease in scope is reflected in a reduced final payment.
How is this possible in an arena filled with supply chain issues, material shortages, and radical cost fluctuations?

Our long-standing supplier relationships: 20-year partnerships with our major material and equipment providers have kept us at the front of the line with our suppliers.

Our experience and scale: established enough to have a supply chain with a six-month runway so you are shielded from short-term cost spikes.

Our innovative manufacturing and business model: our own version of the Toyota Way that keeps work in flow, visible, and without waste that gets passed along to you.

Our unique system approach: which creates economies of scale while still producing a customized and unique result
This equation has a carryover that helps propel the project at comfortable pace. A sweet spot, as it were. The 12-month design period is short enough to keep project momentum and long enough to accommodate necessary pauses.

Our old math is a new approach. It’s about doing the right thing.
